Red Fox vs Eastern Coyote
On March 21st 2024 our resident Red Fox family had an uninvited guest: an Eastern Coyote. The vixen has an injured left rear leg which renders her incapable of defending her den against such a large predator. Inside the den along with her 3 to 4 week old kits is one of last year’s females who has been helping her raise the next generation. This leaves her dedicated mate to protect the family.
